The Classic Bundle

Let no one seek to know their fate.

As you step inside the oracle’s tent, a rush of incense warmly receives you. Flames flicker from candles arrayed on every surface, casting upon the canvas above peculiar forms that appear to dance with a life of their own. Suddenly you realise a shrouded figure is watching from the shadows, beckoning you closer with wizened fingers. You have found at last the one you seek. But be warned: to know one’s destiny comes at a price, that many the curious live to regret…

Embrace the darkness.

You pass hurriedly through the passages of the dimly-lit fortress, arriving at last at the central chamber. Through stained-glass windows, soft light spills upon a velvet chaise, where a figure reclines. She draws you near with a gaze that promises total devotion, her sweet voice echoing across the polished flagstones. She’s your closest companion; her smile glitters with warmth and affection, yet the air grows colder with every step you take towards her…

A single drop binds you forever. 

You stand in a garden bathed in light, where wildflowers bloom with unnatural perfection. Your chosen approaches, their smile trusting, oblivious to the fate that shortly awaits them. You pass into their hand a goblet filled with shimmering liquid; gladly they drink, their eyes glazing with adoration, their senses dissolving like petals in the wind. You’ve bound them to your will with a perfect spell, cast with a cruelty you might never admit.

And all around the thorns grew higher.

You step into the dark, damp tower, where amidst the cobwebs and discarded relics you spot a lone spinning wheel. The sharp point of the spindle captures your attention, and you reach out to touch it. The last thing you remember seeing is a bead of blood on the tip of your finger: your vision blurs, your limbs turn heavy, and a deep sleep claims you. Then beyond the tower, the castle stills; its courtiers collapse, and a briar of thorns engulfs the walls.

Nibble, nibble, little mouse, who’s that nibbling at my house?

You stumble through the dark forest clutching your brother’s hand. The breadcrumbs you scattered to guide your way home are gone, and the last of the daylight is rapidly dwindling. The path has vanished, the cold bites, and hunger gnaws at you both. Then, from up ahead comes drifting a faint, sugary aroma, and you glimpse through the trees the beckoning windows of an unusual cottage.

The kraken stirs.

Beneath a starless sky, the derelict ship rocks gently, its lanterns swaying and flickering in the wind. You stand alone on the empty deck, as the hull groans with invisible pressure. Slowly, you edge towards the handrail and peer overboard, staring down into the inky darkness. Your heart jumps as you notice that from the churning depths below a single colossal eye stares back, pitch black, and unblinking...
